Graphic T-Shirt Care Instructions

You've bought your HSC Graphic Tee, you've fallen in love with it, worn it, worn it again, and now it is laundry time.

There is no doubt that if you’ve owned a printed t-shirt before, you’ve seen the effects of repeated washing and drying on the printed design. Many people’s favorite graphic t-shirts are faded and cracked from overuse and years of wear, washing, and drying. We want to help you avoid this!

Follow these tips to take care of your HSC Graphic Tees and they will last a long time with the same bright looking design.

Keep in mind that the original manufacturer's care instructions found on the printed item's tags do NOT take into consideration our DTG printing process.

  • Washing: Machine wash cold, inside-out, gentle cycle with mild detergent and similar colors. Use non-chlorine bleach, only when necessary. No fabric softeners.

  • Drying: Tumble dry low or hang-dry (we recommend hang-dry to extend the life of your print)

  • Ironing: If ironing is necessary, iron inside-out on the lowest setting. Do not iron decoration.

  • No-Nos: Avoid using bleach and do NOT dry clean. No fabric softeners.

Notice about DTG Printing

When unpacking a new apparel item with a direct-to-garment (DTG) print, you might notice a vinegar-like smell, stiffness, or an off-white residue. Don't worry, that's not unusual. It's from a pre-treatment agent applied during the printing process and it's not permanent.

Pre-treatment agent is used for all DTG prints across the industry. It helps the ink bond with the fabric, and without it, the ink would flake off the garment.

The solution is simply to wash the garment!
